Visits to the estate

1/ Wine tastings and purchases at the estate

Our estate is open to everyone to come and taste our wines.

No need to book, and it's free! A quick phone call before your visit can help you avoid a moment when we're absent. It can happen. We're a small, family-run estate.

You will surely leave with a few good bottles, happy with this friendly moment spent at the foot of our vines in an idyllic setting.

2/ Visit to the wine estate and tastings

For those who want to know more about how our wines are made, it is possible to take a complete tour of our vineyards and the winery, followed by a tasting.

This experience, which lasts 1.5 to 2 hours, including tasting, allows you to discover the production methods of our 3 wine colors (white, rosé, red), to understand the parameters that determine the singularity of each, those that depend on our terroir and those on which the winemaker can intervene to obtain the type of wine sought.

The visit is divided into 3 parts:

Presentation of the estate, the wines, positioning within the Côtes de Provence appellation, notion of terroir.

A walk through 24 vineyards and 8 grape varieties, with explanations on the influence of climate, grape varieties, soil, vineyard work, and the land throughout the four seasons. Our organic certification reflects our commitment to making wines that are as close to nature as possible.

A tour of the winery will highlight the different stages of winemaking, based on the color of the wine and the main characteristics of the final product. Continuing with our work in the vineyard, we emphasize our goal of not using external inputs and allowing the wine to best express the terroir from which it comes.

Since the 2022 harvest, we have been producing exclusively natural wines.

The visit ends pleasantly with a tasting of our 3 colors of wine in the shade of the mulberry tree.

3/ Wine tasting workshops

More in-depth half-day tours, with an introduction to oenology,

are also available by appointment as part of a stay in a guest room (wine stay) or not.

The estate is the ideal place to learn about oenology,

science which has as its object the study and knowledge of wines.

Our objectives

At the end of this half-day workshop:

You will have understood the extent of the winemaker's work, a combination of two completely different professions: viticulture and winemaking.

The winemaker's adaptation to his terroir and appellation of origin. His room for maneuver and the choices available to him to define his range of wines and his level of quality requirements.

You will have learned about wine vocabulary, whether it is to read what is indicated on a label and often on the back label, or for the comments of a tasting.

You will have the keys to objectively recognize the quality characteristics of a wine for yourself.

The program

Whether you are staying in a guesthouse or coming from outside, everything is available on site in a particularly suitable environment:

1/ At the bastide

To welcome you in the best conditions in a family atmosphere, to introduce you to the estate, our range of wines, the perspective in a regional and national context and for the final stage of wine tasting. We take advantage of a Mediterranean climate favorable to greenery throughout the session.

2/ In the vineyards

With its plots around the living space and the winemaking cellar, to present to you the grape varieties and their influences on the wines produced.

The walk between the country house and the winery allows you to immerse yourself in the site through the vines, olive trees, and truffle oaks. This gives you a better understanding of the concept of terroir and its components: climate, soil, grape varieties, and the winegrower's expertise. You will discover the cycles of the vine, the necessary work, and the constraints that must be overcome throughout to obtain grapes of optimum quality. The essential quality parameters of a wine lie in the vine and the way it is worked. The concept of organic farming and respect for the environment is also emphasized in this idyllic setting.

3/ In the cellar

During the winery tour, we explain the winemaking process, fermentation, and the differences between the types of wine you're looking for: colors, wine for aging or not, still or sparkling wines, conventional or natural wines. We discuss wine aging and the influence of the container.

On the way back to the country house, we summarize the activities carried out by the winemaker:

Choosing the plant material, planting a young vine, pruning in winter, supporting vegetative growth in spring, determining the harvest date, precision required for vinification, playing with blends, multiple options for aging.

We distinguish:

What is imposed on the winemaker: climate, terroir. His room for maneuver: new plantations, cultivation methods, mix of existing grape varieties and wines produced, vinification methods.

4/ The tasting

This is the final step. The entire tour of the estate and the presentation of the winemaking process provided knowledge that allowed us to better understand the unique characteristics of a wine.

It is still necessary to understand the connection between wine components, production method and tasting phases to identify the objective characteristics of a wine.

This step is intended above all to be practical and ultimately fully appreciated.

However, as the tastings progress, the sensory mechanisms involved (vision, taste, smell) and the practical methodology will be presented through the example of a tasting sheet.
